abstract: "Fatal motor-vehicle crashes in every US county, state and the nation for 2019 to 2024, from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS). One record per county, state and the US: fatal crashes and deaths in the newest year, the crashes that involved a large truck, a motorcycle, a pedestrian or a bicyclist, the pedestrians, bicyclists and motorcyclists killed, alcohol-impaired, speeding and work-zone crashes, rural and urban roads, deaths per 100,000 residents, and every earlier year. Every county-year equals the accident table's own rows, and the counties add up to the state and the state to the nation. 2019 to 2023 are NHTSA's final files; 2024 is its first (annual report) release. The county-by-year table is at /research/fatal-crashes-by-county/data.csv. Counts only."
