Immigration ads: search and Local Services in your clients' languages
Search and Local Services ads for immigration firms in each language you serve, with no notario wording, standard uploads and social-issue checks.
- Flat, published fees; you pay the ad platforms directly.
- Every account in your name; leave any month after 90 days.
- Your attorney approves every ad, and we check your state’s rules during setup.
Immigration ads reach people in the language they search in, at moments that are often urgent. We run search and Local Services ads in each language your office serves, with no notario wording, standard uploads only, and checks for each platform’s special rules, and we judge them on retained clients.
The channels
| Channel | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google and Microsoft search | The main channel, by matter and language | Google matches ads to the language of the search (Google) |
| Local Services Ads | The immigration category (Google) | List languages only where someone answers in them |
| Meta and YouTube | Service-led ads in Spanish and other languages, tested by area | May need social-issue authorization and a “Paid for by” label (Meta) |
| Ads in ChatGPT | A possible 90-day pilot | OpenAI’s policy names immigration services as allowed for licensed lawyers (OpenAI) |
The rules immigration ads live by
- No notario wording. Texas bars notaries from advertising as “notario” (Tex. Gov’t Code §406.017); every Spanish ad is checked for any wording that suggests a non-lawyer can give legal help.
- Your help, not the document. Google restricts ads promoting direct acquisition of government documents and services, including residency lotteries and visa programs, to governments and authorized providers (Google). Ads describe representation, never “get your visa here.”
- No bail ads. Google doesn’t allow ads for bail bond services, including immigration and detention bail (Google).
- No promises of approvals, outcomes or timelines, and no implied government ties.
Search terms to block
| Junk group | Examples of what people typed |
|---|---|
| Government services | USCIS phone number, check case status, appointment scheduling |
| Free forms | download I-130 form, free immigration forms |
| Lotteries and services | green card lottery entry, visa lottery application help |
| Other services | translation services, notary near me |
| Jobs | immigration paralegal jobs, USCIS jobs |
Uploads and audiences
Uploads stay at the standard level: click ID, neutral stage name, value band and time. Never immigration status, origin or case type details, and never hashed contacts. No Customer Match or lookalike audiences from client lists, and remarketing only where the platform’s policy allows it.
Values and timing
Values come from your flat fees by matter type, in a few bands. Many immigration clients retain within days, giving bidding a clear signal at standard uploads.
How we measure it
The Monday report shows each paid channel by matter group and language, with cost per retained client once a line has at least 5, and answer rate by language beside it. The organic side is on immigration SEO and AI search; the overview is on immigration.
Questions firms ask
- Can our ads say 'get your green card'?
- We avoid it. Google restricts ads that promote getting government documents and services, including residency lotteries and visa programs, to governments and authorized providers. Ads describe your legal help, such as 'Immigration lawyers for family petitions,' never the document itself.
- Which searches do you block?
- USCIS phone numbers and case-status lookups, free form downloads, visa-lottery entry services, translation and notary services, jobs, and matters your firm doesn't take. Two people review each block, and a term that led to a retained client is never blocked.
- Do Spanish searches need Spanish ads?
- Yes. Since September 2026 Google matches search ads to the language of the search, so a Spanish search shows Spanish ads. Firms without them don't appear.
