A large plaintiff firm with $50M+ in annual ad spend: 40%+ more signed cases and cost per signed case down by more than a third.

Our founder has led planning and measurement for $50M+ a year in legal ad spend at about 15x return on ad spend, run media for 150+ personal-injury firms, and scaled a legal-services brand from launch to eight figures.

* Return on ad spend: the expected attorney-fee value of signed cases divided by ad spend, across the whole account.

The credential, exactly

Our founder has led planning and measurement for $50M+ a year in legal ad spend at about 15x return on ad spend, run media for 150+ personal-injury firms, and scaled a legal-services brand from launch to eight figures.

Return on ad spend: the expected attorney-fee value of signed cases divided by ad spend, across the whole account.

Why expected fee value

Injury cases don’t pay when they sign. One survey put the average time to resolve an injury case at about 11.4 months (Nolo), and serious cases take longer. A return measured only on fees already collected would always describe spending from a year or more ago. So the return is measured the way a firm’s partners plan: each signed case is valued at the attorney fee that similar cases at that firm have historically produced, and the total is divided by all the ad spend on the account, not a hand-picked part of it.

How to read it

  • These aren’t Probative client results. They show the kind of work our founder has led, at scale, at other companies.
  • Nothing is adjusted upward. Every figure is rounded down.
  • No sole credit. Large programs involve many people; our founder led them.
  • Not measured under our Standard unless it says so. The Probative Standard applies to Probative’s own reporting from day one. Past work is labeled as past work.

Probative’s own client results will be published under the method on how we report, with each client’s written approval.

Questions firms ask

Why aren't employers or clients named?
Because our founder's past work belongs to the firms and companies it was done for. We describe it in anonymous form, round every figure down, and name no one.
Are these Probative's results?
No. They are work our founder has led outside Probative, at other companies. Probative's own client results will be published separately, only with each client's written approval, under the method on our how-we-report page.
Why use expected fee value instead of fees collected?
Because injury cases settle months or years after they sign. Waiting for collected fees would make the number years out of date. Expected fee value prices each signed case by what similar cases at that firm have historically paid.
