Signal Health: eight data-quality checks
Definition
Signal Health is page one of every Probative report: eight checks that decide whether a period's results are good enough to act on.
Signal Health is a set of eight data-quality checks that decide whether a period’s results are good enough to act on. It is page one of every Probative report. Results below the account level count as decision-grade only when the checks hold.
The eight checks
| Check | Threshold |
|---|---|
| 1. ID coverage | At least 85% of paid leads carry a click ID or call ID |
| 2. Source coverage | At least 90% of signed cases have a known source, in any view |
| 3. Reconciliation | Reported and firm signed counts agree within 2% on the signing-date basis, or within 1 case when there are fewer than 50 (reconciliation) |
| 4. Required fields | At least 95% of leads have a source or click ID, a language, a case type and stage timestamps |
| 5. Stage timeliness | At least 90% of leads get a qualified-lead decision within 7 days; Google recommends conversion delays under 7 days for value-based bidding (Google) |
| 6. Upload health | Daily uploads complete, with failed rows under 2% and no gap longer than 2 days |
| 7. Outages | Every tracking outage is logged, with a bidding data exclusion (Google) |
| 8. Consent | Every tracked line plays a recording notice, and consent logs are complete |
When a check fails
- The report still publishes. Account totals carry a failure note, and every segment below the account is greyed out and labeled “below standard”. No decision rests on it.
- The fix comes first in that week’s report.
- Tests need checks 1 to 7 to pass for their whole window, or they are inconclusive.
- Public results need every check to pass for the whole period.
What else the page shows
The last good upload to each destination, with rows by stage; Local Services Ads leads rated; the stage mapping and the versions of the value bands and upload policy in force; the error table; and a change log of value revisions, bidding changes and excluded outage dates.
Why it matters
Bidding systems learn from what they’re sent. A week of broken tracking, uploaded as if it were real, teaches the platform the wrong lesson. Signal Health makes the data’s condition visible before anyone acts on it.

- Do public results need Signal Health?
- Yes. Every check must pass for the whole period behind any published result.
