Family law marketing: the full picture
How we help family law firms get chosen in search and AI answers and run ads that bring signed clients.
Family law · Georgia
People search quietly and often at night, and many are comparing two or three firms before they call. Georgia has more law offices per resident than the national rate. Below: Georgia’s ad rules for a family law firm and the local figures behind them.
We would start with Google + SEO, because people compare two or three firms quietly, so your Google profile, reviews and pages matter as much as the ads: $8,750 a month with managed ad spend up to $15k (every price). The SEO part is priced by market size, and Georgia’s largest metro areas by the Census count of residents aged 5 and over are Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA (about 5,893,277), Augusta-Richmond County, GA-SC (about 587,269) and Chattanooga, TN-GA (about 543,508).
We would point the first pages, map listings and ad locations at Oconee County and Thomas County, which added law offices fastest over the year, so family searches there are getting more crowded.
The closest case study: A legal-services launch cuts what each new client costs in half.
Divorce is a named sensitive category, so ads cannot imply that the viewer is going through one.
Georgia adds its own layer to the Google, Local Services and Meta family law rules: ad filing is listed as no filing, and what every ad must show is listed as name plus contact details. The platform rules themselves are on the ads page and the policy tracker.
Start with the metro pages: Atlanta law firm SEO, AI search and Google Ads. Spanish-speaking demand and the full Georgia rules are on the Georgia rules page.

From October 2025 through September 2026, people in Georgia filed 662 complaints with the FCC about unwanted text messages (5.9 per 100,000 residents against 5.7 nationally, 15.5% fewer than the year before) and 3,920 about unwanted calls (34.7 per 100,000).
What this means for a family law firm in Georgia: People in Georgia report unwanted texts more than most, so a family law firm that follows up by text should do it only after the person asks, keep the consent record, and say who is texting.

What this means for a family law firm in Georgia: Georgia has fewer one-lawyer shops per resident than the nation, so family law clients there meet more staffed firms; reviews about how the firm treats people, plain fee information and a calm first call are what set a firm apart.

30 of Georgia’s 159 counties have fewer than 1 private law office per 10,000 residents, and 16 have none (first quarter of 2026); 3.5% of residents live in a county under that line.
What this means for a family law firm in Georgia: In Georgia’s thinly served counties, parents there compare firms quietly online, so a page for each county you serve and video consultations widen the reach.

About 3.2% of the lawyers, judges and judicial workers in Georgia speak Spanish at home (±0.9 points), while about 890,264 residents aged 5 and over speak Spanish at home (ACS 2020-2024).
What this means for a family law firm in Georgia: The Census sample is too thin to size the Spanish gap in Georgia, so a family law firm should test Spanish pages and a Spanish line on a small budget and count the calls.

What these figures leave out: complaints to the FCC only, not verified; counts offices, not lawyers; BLS withholds some county figures; counts offices, not lawyers or legal aid; survey estimates with margins; judges are counted with lawyers. Corrections log.
Family law clients search by county, so start there. Your intake script should ask which spouse lives where, for how long, whether children are involved, and whether there is any safety concern. Build a divorce page that explains the six month residence window in plain words, and another that says only superior court hears divorces, not state, magistrate or probate court. Add location pages for Atlanta, Decatur, Marietta, Alpharetta and Savannah. Publish Spanish versions of the divorce and custody pages. Claim your Google profile for each office. Georgia has no ad filing, but ads should carry your name and contact details. Georgia sets one-party consent for call recording, and we suggest a short notice.
For months two and three, count signed clients once per matter from your own records, and note the county each one lives in. Because residence can decide where a divorce is filed, that county tells you which courthouse pages matter. Cut pages for counties where nobody signed, and cut ad spend on loose terms like family help. Keep the pages that explain what happens at the superior court clerk's office, since those answer the first fear a caller has. Track consult no-shows separately. Text only people who asked for texts, since Georgia has no texting law beyond the federal one. Georgia has no comprehensive privacy law, yet treat every family file as private.
